what i do sometimes is that i got a round shape punch and i got small Letter rubber stamps from Hero arts. you can change your colour of the paper and the ink anytime then. and the way you put it on the card.

I prefer the peel offs cause I find them easier to use though I guess it would depend really on the user. It wouldn't hurt to try. I got a couple of letter punch, my initials' and hubby's but because of how they are designed, I find it difficult to plot but then its probably just me. >.>

I use loads of different techniques on my cards including Sizzix, Quickutz, peel-offs. I have used punched shapes such as hearts etc.... these work well. I also recommend using a computer to print text, trim to a srip and use 3d foam pads, it looks better than it sounds. I also back my finished stitching with iron-on interfacing and then layer it on to a single fold card. Have a look at my 'cross stitch gallery' page at www.joannesanderson.com I Hope this helps, I do have more tips on my blog (see my 'links' page on the website above) Smile

I use the Hero Arts alphabet rubber stamps too.

If you stamp onto another piece of pretty card you can layer it onto your main card (that way if you make a mistake/smudge the ink you can simply do it again).

Also wanted to say "Hi" from one Piglet to another. Big Grin

I haven't tried using alphabet craft punches, but I do use a star and heart punch and write the letters on, sometimes with a caligraphy pen, sometimes in silver glitter gel pen and sometimes using an embossing pen and heat tool with silver embossing powder. It means that I get a unique look with each card I make and if I make a mistake I have only lost one heart or star!

Hope this is of some help to you Smile
