I have had such a long day and I am shattered, I didnt even get any stitching done untl almost 9.

I went to the caravan this morning to see sam and aimee, left just after 10am took an hour of motorway driving, which always tires you out.
I got home about 3.30 and had been in the house 10 mins when I got a phone call from my gran saying my grandad had fallen through the roof of his greenhouse and could I drive him to the docs, he had been trying to put a new felt roof on one end which is more like a shed and had slipped and went through the glass part of it (and hes nearly 80!)
doc told him to go to A&E to check for any glass so I dropped them off there, and have had to pick them up about half an hour ago.

luckily hes fine and only has a couple of small cuts on his head and hand but he was very lucky he didnt seriously hurt himself.

so now im exhausted, I have never done so much driving in 1 day, I think I must have done about 140 miles today so am just enjoying being in the house

Your granddad sounds like an independent type who wouldn't ask for help if it choked him. Wink
Glad he's ok and you survived all that driving.
