I had a routine Blood Test done when I went for a check-up two weeks ago now. I've received a letter from Kings College today, with a copy of a letter written to my G.P. also, asking me to make an appointment to see my G.P. to get an 'isotope' scan done for osteopeania or osteoporosis. As my Calcium & Vitamin D levels were lower than normal Confused

From Amanda

1. Zodiac Exchange - have sent mine off. But not yet received mine.

Thanks Piper, Kime & Cosycrafter. So what do they do to you Caosycrafter? Is it an MRI type scan, or standup one? Please tell me more of what you actually have done to you. Also what on earth does an 'isotope' scan mean? Confused

Amanda I have only just been able to get back on (wouldnt bring this page up AGAIN). I think the article Kim linked is as good as I could have told you. I had to lay down for mine and it was not very pleasent, but thats the way I had to lay

Forgot to say, don't bend over in the bedroom with no clothes on, my partner said I looked like something out of space. I wont say what but the first word was black Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

I had one when I first had my heart problems in 1993. Probably things have improved since then. I had to have more than one done hours apart and so I was hanging around all day. On the 2nd one which should have taken 20 mins the camera stopped working and they had to get it fixed and start over again. As I was lying flat on a 6inch board for all of the time it was very uncomfortable but not painful.
