I've been on this forum about 2 months now and I love it, its very addictive, a bit like cross stitch lol I'm Sue and I'm 39 (40 in Sept) I have 3 daughters, Holly 12, Ellie 8 and Beth 7, 2 cats Fizz and Bella, guess who named them, and lots of kio fish. I live with my partner Neill of 14 years, never got round to getting married, now with the girls find better things to spend any spare money on (them, the house and xstitch stuff)! I've been x stitching since I was about 17. I went back to college 2 years ago and passed NVQ CCLD Level 2, then my boss encouraged me to try my Level 3 which I passed in December. See your never to old, if I can do it anyone can! I'm now Deputy Assistan Manager in a preschool, which I love! Thankyou for reading this and to all the lovely people that make this forum such a great place to chat xxx

Hello, I'm Joanne, I'm 44 just. I live with my partner of 6 years, Len. We have lived together in South Yorkshire for 4 and a half of them. We have no children together but he has two from a previous relationship. (Unfortunately his ex won't let him contact them.)
We have two of the most intelligent dogs around. Sam an 11 yr old Lab Retriever and Milly an 8yr old Golden Retriver. Sam is the only dog I've ever had with a sense of humour. He once deliberately ran towards me as I was standing at the edge of a quarry pond, lunged at the back of my legs and launched me headlong into the pond. Then when I emerged from the icy depths and looked for him he was stood a few yards away laughing, yes laughing at me. Some blokes further down the bank thought it was hilarious but didn't come to help though.
I love my cross stitching and Len loves fishing. So I used to go fishing with him and sit ond do my stitching at the bankside. Before long I was taking more interest in the fishing than the stitching so he bought me some kit one xmas and I took up fishing aswell as stitching. All I have to do now is work out how to stitch and fish at the same time!
I also love to read, watch all the C.S.I's. Numbers, NCIS, the Beast etc adn of course the Bill. I used to watch the soaps but haven't done so regularly for a while now.
Hi i'm Rachel, I'm 36 (I think). I've been married to Phil (the love of my life) for 4 years but have been together for 10. I have a daughter, Grace (4 in august) and a son, Jake (2 in 4 weeks). I also have a cat called Ebony born exactly same time as Jake the terrible twins!!!!
I love cross stitching but don't get much time to do it.
I am setting up my own business doing creative and messy sessions for pre school children so parents don't have to worry about the mess. So looking forward to doing it xxx
I'm 35, live with my partner Chris and my 2 girls Debbie aged 10 and Katie 10 months. I also have a son nearly 8, he lives with his dad and comes here alternate weekends.
I have been an "occasional" cross stitcher since 1997 but only ever finished stuff relatively small. I also enjoy cardmaking and chatting on the computer.

What a great idea this is. I'm Helen, I'm 58 going on 6, and I live in London with my partner of 28 years, Steve (the best man in the world.) We both love books, films, science fiction, history and travelling. I've been stitching since I was small - like several other people who've already posted I learned from my Gran. After school I did clothes and costume and didn't touch cross stitch again for years, then in 1995 my best friend Barbara took me to a stitch show with her and that was that.
I've been a part time writer ever since I can remember, a full time one since I was made redundant three years ago, and with the help of some great stitchers from this forum and the encouragement of everyone else on here I've just finished my first cross stitch book.
What I love about this forum is that almost everyone on it is so friendly, open and honest. People are genuinely interested and supportive of each other. It's a great place.
