I'm Helen or just plain H to practically everyone! I'm 29 (only for a couple more weeks), I haved lived with Dan since 2005 (although we've been together about 5 or 6 years) in a lovely victorian cottage in the hertfordshire village of Markyate.
We have 2 cats, Captain Marbellous and G Cat (or Granite and Marble as they were known when we picked them up from the RSPCA!). They are just fab after being totally feral we can now have cuddles etc which has been a very rewarding journey. We also have Muffin a little Exmoor X pony who I've had since I was 12 and James a stunning (but now old at 23) irish thoroughbred ex eventer who I've had since I was 14. We have grown up together and I'm just dreading the day those 2 are no longer with me.
So hobbies include horse care and riding, cross stitch (shocker!!!), reading, history, decorating (I know....but I love it), supporting cricket and football and generally being very socialable and imbibing copious amounts of white wine!
Oh and forgot to say that I work as a civil servant in the HOC Library which is the inspiration for my username (its my clock not Londons!!!!!!).
Its been lovely reading about you all
H xxx

I live in sussex with my husband steve and with to adorable cats, both tabby but one is just exactly like a miniature tiger and the girl is like a tortise but with simple markings on her legs and face, both so loveing and gentle, called 'Tibby and Tilly'. I am 32, 33 end of oct, I work in a childrens nursery with aged children 1-2 years old. At present I have no children, and having no luck in trying, probably too stressed with my job. My hobbies are cross stitching big time, and keeping up my supply of kit for rainny days!!!

Wow, I can't believe that I havent posted on this thread before and its been running for a year!! Well here I am better late than never.. I am Fiona and am 31 years old. I have been married to Mark for 7 years and have 2 gorgeous but cheeky children Jamie 6 and Holly 3 and another one on the way. We have a mad collie x spaniel called Sunnie who is as mad as a hatter. I am a stay at home mum but I do cross stitch for one of the magazines so have managed to turn my hobby into something else. I like doing things with the children like going places and my othe rhobbies are cross stitch, reading and card making too.
I'm Michelle, 41 years old, married to Andrew and have 2 sons. Matt is 13 in November this year (although he is going on 40!) and a little baby boy called Bruce born in August this year.
Before Bruce was born I was an office manager for a residential care home and may go back on a part-time basis in the new year, depends if I can leave Bruce!
We have only one family pet - a house cat. A british blue shorthair called 'Ellie'. Although she is a nightmare when I stitch, even now she still goes for my threads.
My main hobby is Cross Stitching and I love to cross stitch anything to do with South Africa. Hubbies parents emigrated to Cape Town some years ago - its such a wonderful place. Love holidaying there. I also love anything to do with Halloween.
Love Michelle xx

Hi! I'm Carla, from not so sunny Canada. I teach high school full time, so I don't have as much stitching time as I'd like.My 10 month old grandson also grabs a lot of my attention (not to mention my threads), but I'm not complaining. It's nice to meet you all.

I'm Hollie, 32, married for 3 1/2 years to Rhys. have 2 children, Freya (8) and Emilie (3). Live near Leicester. Have 3 black and white cats, Ziggy, Xena and Salem. Can't work due to health problems. Haven't posted very much on this site but think its really good and everyone seems really nice. I find that it encourages me to keep going with whatever I'm stitching to come and see what others are doing.
