Candy Cane Santa arrived today! And a pleasant discovery was that, although I knew it was a big design (12x16 inches), much of the background is in half cross-stitch, so it should be relatively quick to stitch. So since it'll be my project for stitching over the Christmas period, maybe I'll get it finished next Christmas, rather than Christmas 2011... Big Grin

Newton some Gettysburg by Dimensions has many half stitches, as does Aurora Cabin that Im working on at the moment, its a nice surprise when you realize that a large area is just halves.

It's a very long time since I've stitched a Dimensions kit - I'm very impressed with the colour-coded thread-sorter. Their kits were always a bit difficult to differentiate similar colours in the huge bundles of thread they provide!

Looks like you had better be getting on with this Newton as the peeps are needing a WIP, think they would give you time to do a little of it, always impatient. Smile

I wasn't planning to start it until nearer Christmas, but maybe I'd better get on with it. I have a feeling that a picture of it finished will be wanted by next weekend! Big Grin
