Hi there everyone I am Gayle, a new forum member and a bit of a technophobe so please excusae any mistakes! am feeling a bit bored and sorry for myself at the mo as I have just had an operation on my hand and cant sew. Have recently been stitching sunflowers in memory of my mum, a lion birthday card for my neice and will be starting a card for my aunt, any ideas?
Hi and welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your hand, i hope your recovery is quick. I can imagine how lost you are without the use of that hand at the moment.
My aunt had an op on her hand and is still unable to use it at the moment so they're talking about a second op. She doesn't do stitching or anything though but she feels lost without the use of her hand, so it must be a lot worse for you.
You asked for ideas about starting a card for your aunt. what kind of things does she like? There are free charts available on the website which you may have been on before getting onto this forum. There are some good ones on there and DMC also do free charts on their site, although I think you have to sign up to be a member (I might be wrong though).

Hi Mum and a very big welcome, so sorry to hear that you cant stitch at present, you can always spend your unstitchy time just ordering kits online LOL hope your hand recovers its use very soon. Cant help with the ticker thingys, but someone on here will be able to Im sure.
Hi Gayle welcome to the forum.I love sunflowers.Sorry to hear about your hand.Wishing you a speedy recovery.I know its very frustrating when you can`t stitch.I had an op on wrist a few years back.
Thankyou all for your good wishes. Hopefully I will be in stitching mode again soon keeping busy organising a table top sale in aid of Macmillan Cancer Care in December. Gayle
