Piper your stitching is fantastic, I love that churchill one, I have never seen a pattern like it, let me be cheeky and ask where you got it from, it would make a fantastic xmas prezzie for my hubby who actually seams to think he is churchill or monty he is fanatical about churchils tenure as PM and is a closet war buff.

Fantastic work piper - well done you Smile

Tenchgirl, I done something with the Churchill and Montie charts that I never do, I had to score the stitches out as I went, I found it very difficult to just follow it by eye as I usually do, so they have been binned Im sfraid, I'am at this moment trying to remember who done this design, but it escapes me, I shall try and find them for you online, unless they are old stock as I got them cheap at Burns and Harris here in Kirkcaldy Fife.

Lorna V I think I just answered your question, Im in Kirkcaldy in The Kingdom of Fife.

Alison, my wife is from Essex, Colchester, I met her after I finished my service in the army, I miss Essex, I loved beng posted there.

I thank you all for your fantastic remarks, its nice to hear what other stitchers think as I have only compared my work to my wifes, and she is pretty good if I say so, I must get my wife to join as this is so friendly here.

Wow! That was some really nice stitching you've got there! And you look really nice in your "piping clothes."
I love the sounds of bagpipes. They feel so very mighty and the tones can be heard so far away! It's a shame that not that many are bagpipers here in Sweden... Frown

Fantastic work Piper. Its nice to see a man on here - I keep trying to get my husband interested in having a go, as he always takes a genuine interest when I am doing mine. Perhaps this will inspire him.

Well done
